Storytelling Unit - Group Story Project 21/09
Today we were in a group of 4 and were given three bits of paper, with 2 characters and one location. Using these bits of unconnected information we had to come up with a brief for a story
An Assumption
Location: Nightclub
Characters:
-Actor (Tony) (young) - failing and drowning his sorrows. Timid and as the story progresses, his confidence exceeds higher.
- shirt, top button un done and loose tie, smart trousers and shoes
-jeans, t-shirt and smart jacket. also has a bag (for change of clothes)
developing idea-
Actor and the bank robber are at the night club. Tony is at the night club due to drowning his sorrows because he’s a failing actor. He’s already been drinking when Marc approaches him. Marc was at the club waiting to meet his companion for the robbery, who he has only spoken to over the phone and believes he is talking to the right person. Tony fits the description of Marcs companion, however he is 'meeting' the wrong person. Marc offers to buy Tony a drink which will engage the conversation. As the night continues, Marc confides in Tony about how the plan of the robbery is going to go ahead. Then Marc's actual companion phones him, asking him where he is and Marc realises he has confided in the wrong person. After an explanation from Tony about who he really is, Marc provides him with an ultimatum:
Is Tony going to go with Marc or do the right thing and speak to the police?
ending quote: "now you have a choice to make..."
Goal= meet his companion and share his plans
Conflict= meets the wrong person
Change= (open ending) Tony changes from actor to bank robber OR Tony goes to police.
